Roehl Transport has announced its second truck driver pay increase of 2026, effective October 4. The Marshfield, Wisconsin-based carrier says the move positions its top-earning drivers among the highest-paid in the industry, with many earning well over $100,000 a year while getting home weekly — and in some cases daily.
The increase applies to most company drivers across Roehl’s Refrigerated, Flatbed, Van, Curtainside, and Dedicated divisions. The company also announced higher compensation for owner-operators and lease operators who partner with Roehl.
“We believe Roehl drivers should earn more,” said CEO Rick Roehl, who still maintains his CDL.
Earlier this year, Roehl raised pay to reward longevity and tenure — including drivers who came up through its on-the-job CDL training program — and added retention bonuses and higher trainer pay.
Why it matters: when a major refrigerated carrier raises driver pay twice in one year, the driver market is tightening. Carriers competing for experienced drivers push pay — and rates — up across the board. For shippers, it reinforces a simple point: reliable capacity costs money, and the carriers investing in their drivers are the ones still standing when capacity gets tight.
