What temperature ranges can JASKO handle?

Our refrigerated trailers hold any setpoint from -20°F to 76°F — deep frozen, chilled, or protect-from-heat. Every trailer is pre-cooled and verified before loading, and our teams monitor temperature integrity from pickup to delivery.

What is personal conveyance, and when do JASKO drivers use it?

Personal conveyance is a driver moving a commercial vehicle while genuinely off duty — for personal reasons, never to advance the load or the company’s business. Our drivers follow the FMCSA’s guidance to the letter.

Proper personal conveyance includes:

• Traveling from en-route lodging (motel, truck stop) to restaurants or entertainment facilities and back;
• Commuting between the terminal — or a trailer-drop lot, or work site — and home, as long as the driver still gets full restorative rest;
• Moving to the nearest reasonable safe location to rest after loading or unloading;
• Moving the truck at a safety official’s request while off duty;
• Transporting personal property while off duty;
• Authorized travel home after working at an offsite location.

What does not count — and must be logged as driving time:

• Driving closer to the next pickup or delivery to “get ahead,” bypassing available rest locations;
• Bobtailing or repositioning to retrieve another load at the company’s direction;
• Driving to the terminal after loading or unloading;
• Taking the truck in for maintenance;
• Driving to a rest location after being placed out of service for an hours violation (unless an enforcement officer directs it).

How does JASKO document safety and compliance?

Every mile is documented the way FMCSA requires. Our tractors run electronic logging devices, and we retain duty-status records, timecards, and supporting documents for six months. Driver vehicle inspection reports are kept 90 days, maintenance files for a year (plus six months after a unit leaves our fleet), and driver qualification files — applications, previous-employer inquiries, road tests, medical certificates, annual reviews — for the full periods the regulations require, up to three years beyond a driver’s employment. If a customer, auditor, or enforcement official ever needs records, we have them.
