Broker and Third-Party Identity Request Policy
How JASKO handles requests for driver identity documents, photographs and carrier verification.
Purpose
Protect drivers and the company from identity theft, cargo fraud, phishing and unauthorized collection of personal information while allowing legitimate carrier verification.
JASKO standard
A broker, shipper, receiver or other third party should not ask a JASKO driver to text or email a driver’s-license image, a selfie holding identification, Social Security information, medical information, login credentials or permit-book credentials.
Carrier identity and operating authority should be verified through recognized public records and an authorized JASKO office contact. JASKO may provide appropriate carrier documents through controlled business channels.
If a request is received
Do not send the requested personal document from a personal phone or email.
Record the requester’s name, company, telephone number, email address, load number and reason for the request.
Contact JASKO Operations or Safety using the published main number before taking further action.
If fraud is suspected, preserve messages and screenshots and stop communication until JASKO confirms the request.
Permitted exceptions
A disclosure may be made only when required by law, a government officer acting within lawful authority, or a verified written JASKO procedure using an approved secure channel.
