Cargo Claim and Incident Reporting Guide

Effective: August 14, 2026  •  Audience: Customers, brokers, shippers, receivers and transportation partners  •  Owner: JASKO Enterprises, Inc.

Immediate steps for reporting loss, damage, shortage, temperature concern or delivery exception.

Report promptly

Notify JASKO as soon as a potential loss, shortage, damage, seal discrepancy, temperature deviation, accident or delivery exception is discovered. For an active shipment, call 877-355-2756 and request Dispatch (Ext. 400), Safety (Ext. 800) or Insurance (Ext. 600), as appropriate.

Protect the product and evidence

Take reasonable steps to prevent additional loss without disposing of, altering or salvaging product unless authorized or required for safety.

Preserve bills of lading, delivery receipts, seal records, photographs, temperature records, inspection reports, invoices and communications.

Note exceptions clearly on the delivery receipt before signing when conditions allow.

Written claim

A written claim should identify the shipment, parties, claimed amount and supporting basis. Send it through the verified business channel provided by JASKO Insurance. Contract terms, bills of lading and applicable law control deadlines and liability; this public guide does not modify them.

No admission

An investigation, inspection, payment discussion or request for records is not an admission of liability. JASKO reserves all rights and defenses.

Important: This public guidance does not amend any transportation agreement, tariff, rate confirmation, lease, employment policy or legal requirement. Contact JASKO for the controlled document applicable to a specific transaction or relationship.
